Job Summary/Purpose:


The CTCA Midwestern Speech Pathologist works under the direct and general supervision of the department head.  The Speech Pathologist evaluates and assesses patients for speech, language, & swallowing problem and develops a plan of care for treatment.  Administers treatment(s) and test(s) as prescribed by the Physician. This position will also work with patients with communication and cognitive deficits.  There will be the opportunity to participate in care for head and neck patients, but experience is not required.  CFY need not apply.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must have a Master’s Degree in Speech and Language Pathology from an ASHA approved school of Speech and Language Pathology; must acquire a current temporary license or pass the State Licensure examination.
  • Must have intermediate-advanced level speech-language pathology experience
  • Strong Experience with videofluoroscopic swallow evaluation is required, as well as interest in a newly developing FEES program
  • Must be a self-motivated clinician eager to engage in program development and staff education in the acute setting
  • CPR card preferred
