The Lead Medical Technologist Cellular Therapy performs collection, processing and assists in infusion of cell therapy products. Oversees day-to-day activities of the Cellular Therapy department ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state and regulatory agencies requirements including Foundation for Accreditation of Cellular Therapy (FACT). Performs Transfusion Services duties as assigned. Understands the theory behind each of the procedures performed and assists in decision-making and troubleshooting. Performs other duties as assigned by the Department Supervisor/Director.

 

Supports clinical excellence, enterprise wide initiatives, activities of the leadership team, departments, clinics, physicians and administration.

Acts in compliance with departments’ standard operating procedures and enterprise policies/procedures.

 

Lives the stakeholder bond, embodies the company values and supports the CTCA mission, vision and promise.

                                                          

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology, Biological Sciences or related field.

                                     

Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with Stem Cell transplant and Cellular Therapy procedures.  

 

Other attributes: Professional demeanor, comfortable working at patient’s bedside for the duration of collection and infusion of stem cell products. Extremely flexible to accommodate patients’ needs and physicians’ demands. Effective collaboration and communication skills ensuring team work with co-workers, nursing staff and physicians. Knowledge of regulatory requirements including AABB, FACT, FDA and knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
